Yoga is a physical, mental & spiritual practice originated in India. Practice of yoga, meditation, spreading awareness about yoga & adopting it in one's lifestyle by discussing its benefits is the main intention of celebrating this day.
On 21st June in 2015 UNGA (United National General Assembly) has declared the day as international yoga day on this eve IGS pupils & teachers actively participated & created the awareness about importance of yoga practice. So many yoga postures were practiced like Hasta, Uttasana, Pada Hastasana, Ashwa Sanchalanasana, Parvatasana, Ashtanga Namaskar, Bhujangasan, Poorna, Dhanurasana, & at the end of the program the principal Miss.Berrazeer Quadri & the President Mr.Mujahid Pasha Qureshi addressed the students on the benefits of different aasanas.
